MULCH OR ROCK?
Both mulch and decorative rock are common flower bed finishes, and the right choice depends on your goals. Mulch breaks down over time and needs periodic refreshing, but it adds organic material to the soil as it does. Rock doesn't break down and generally needs refreshing less often, but it doesn't offer the same soil benefits and can hold more heat in the summer. Neither option is universally better — we're happy to walk through the tradeoffs for your specific bed.

Prepare the area
We clear existing grass or debris and set the border or edging.
Install soil and plants
We bring in quality soil and install the plants selected for the space.
Finish with mulch or rock
We top the bed with the ground cover that fits the look and maintenance level you want.
